Established in 1974, Masher Brothers Ltd is a trusted, family-run property repairs, maintenance and refurbishment contractor, delivering services across London, Essex and the South East.
Originally founded as a joinery workshop in Peckham, the business has grown into a well-established, multi-trade contractor with over 50 years of experience supporting housing providers, local authorities and the communities they serve.
At the heart of everything we do is the resident experience. We recognise that working in someone's home is about more than completing a repair or refurbishment. It is about treating people and their homes with respect, communicating clearly, minimising disruption and ensuring residents feel informed, supported and valued throughout the process.

Our Services and Expertise
We provide a comprehensive range of property maintenance and refurbishment services, including Responsive Repairs, Planned Maintenance, Decent Homes programmes, Void Property Refurbishments, Legal Disrepair, Damp and Mould Remediation, Whole House Refurbishments and Bespoke Joinery Manufacture and Installation.
Our directly employed, skilled multi-trade workforce enables us to deliver a coordinated service across building, mechanical, electrical and gas works, supported by experienced management teams and established relationships with specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
We also provide specialist fire safety services, holding Element BM TRADA Q-Mark certifications for Fire Door Installation, Maintenance and Fire Stopping, alongside BWF Fire Door Alliance certification as Licensed Fire Door Processors.

VOID Property Refurbishment
We deliver comprehensive planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes for housing providers and local authorities, helping to improve the quality, safety and longevity of residents' homes.
Our services include Decent Homes improvements, kitchen and bathroom replacements, windows and doors, roofing, electrical upgrades and general property refurbishments.
Joinery Production
Masher Brothers originally started out as a Joinery Workshop in 1974 and we have retained this workshop facility to continue to provide in-house Joinery manufacture and installation services. Our team of expert joiners and carpenters provide an all encompassing bespoke joinery service from design through to installation.
We work in partnership with housing associations and local authorities to deliver comprehensive, high-quality responsive repairs and maintenance services, ensuring residents' homes remain safe, comfortable and well maintained. We make sure the resident is at the heart of our service.
We also deliver compliant FRA remedial works. We are certified BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door and Fire Stopping Installers, as well as BWF Licensed Fire Door Processors, helping clients maintain fire safety standards and protect residents.
Disrepair
We deliver efficient, high-quality legal disrepair works. Our experienced multi-trade teams undertake comprehensive repairs and property reinstatement, helping clients resolve cases, minimise legal exposure and associated costs, and meet their statutory obligations. With a strong focus on quality, communication and resident wellbeing.
We deliver comprehensive void property refurbishment services, ranging from minor repairs through to full property refurbishments.
We understand the commercial importance of reducing rental income loss and returning properties to occupation as quickly as possible. Our experienced, dedicated voids teams work efficiently to meet demanding turnaround targets without compromising on quality or safety.
Damp & Mould
We provide damp and mould remediation services. Our experienced multi-trade teams undertake comprehensive remedial works, including mould treatment, damp repairs, ventilation improvements and property reinstatement. We focus on identifying and addressing the underlying causes to deliver effective, long-lasting solutions and prevent recurring issues
